The problem was that the teams he built sucked. He had success when he focused solely on coaching.

No but winning certainly does. Sure it's "easier" to coach an established, talented team but you can't dismiss the accomplishment.

Replacing Cappy with Julien is like replacing Sterling with Arbour. Who wouldn't take Julien over Cappy ? The new GM sabotaged that team by trading Hamilton and Lucic and having a wacky draft (though that part MIGHT work out for them).

pretty sure we're all hoping isles hire someone like julien to help take the team to another level .

unfortunately , we'll probably have to wait until ledecky/malkin take over as majority owners before something like this happens
