Kind of surprised about this. Thought for sure they'd trade him. He didn't play a lot towards the end of the season as Kulak stole his spot.

Looks like we're going into the season with 8D.

Really liked him in the pre-season and the first few games in the regular season. Not sure what happened to him after that...

Nothing happened to him specifically, the NHL regular season started, that's what changed. He stopped facing a bunch of minor leaguers and the regulars started playing more seriously, making him understandably worse.

AHL level competition might explain why he looked that good. He would probably be a 50+ points dman in Laval.
