Yeah i was going to say that as well.Based on a couple of the irrational extreme, over the top reactions we read here... I think that's a virtual guarantee.

What a terrible post. No, it's not just life. It's unacceptable. Things like this are the norm in the world today because of this shoulder shrugging attitude. He's super rich, and gets to slam people's head into the ground. I don't feel sorry for him at all.
I've also been threatened, and my dog was threatened. It's called life.
Too much hate as it is. Lets leave it at the curbMan I hate some members of this fan base.

Rangers fans threatened Burrows bubVancouver fans seem to be way worse with this kind of thing than other cities for some reason.
Between this and the riots, we seem more inclined than the average team to go the extra mile when throwing a hissy-fit.Rangers fans threatened Burrows bub
Boston rioted tooBetween this and the riots, we seem more inclined than the average team to go the extra mile when throwing a hissy-fit.
I can't stand Twitter.
It just feels as though we seem to be involved in this kind of thing more often than others, though that may be a biased perception from living here.Boston rioted too
Stop hating on our city and our team
Self haters take their self hate to the tank thread please...We just seem to be involved in this kind of thing more often than others, though that may be a biased perception from living here.
Stop being oversensitive and defensive. It's just an honest observation.
Self-hate? My observations of the fandom in this city have nothing to do with myself (or any specific person who's a fan). It's not a representative hive mind that we should be protective of or take pride or shame in being associated with. It's just a group of people that have nothing to do with us.Self haters take their self hate to the tank thread please...
Pathetic.Enraged Canucks fans direct anger at Matheson's adorable dog
“There are thousands of people commenting things on my social-media pages — sending me death threats, wishing I would commit suicide or get cancer — that’s bringing things to a whole new level,” Matheson told The Athletic. “People have even threatened my dog.”
Some triggerrd keyboard warriors in VanCity
There was no meeting it was just some randomn internet tough guys. PC is an internet tough guy, not necessarily saying hes the only one who could have made these threats but it is what it isI must have missed the Vancouver meeting where we discussed threatening Matheson.
Oh well, guess I have to go along with it because apparently all of Vancouver is represented by a few people.
**** Messier.
Oh wait...
**** Matheson.
People send “death threats” over the Internet because someone likes/dislikes cilantro. Seriously, treating this as credible or newsworthy just encourages more morons to seek attention in the future.
To be clear, I’m not saying it’s OK (uttering threats is a criminal offence in Canada), just let’s not pretend this is some “Canuck fan” thing. It’s an idiot thing. And when you have 7 billion people on earth, some of them are idiots.
Curious what you're referring to?It's in to be offended, and we think we have a god given right to exact vengeance for our perceived slights, because no one will trace it back to us on the internet. Matheson doesn't deserve that, few do, but a least he can feel certain no one will act on it.
At least we haven't done anything overtly racist or sexist as a fan base in the last few weeks
And to no surprise, people are getting defensive and offended by you pointing this out.Between this and the riots, we seem more inclined than the average team to go the extra mile when throwing a hissy-fit.
