He is immensely overrated as a coach. This was his last year under contract anyway. He can take you to the playoffs at best but you can't rely on him to win a championship.
Rumor is he may be interested in Philly job
The Sixers fired Brown because he couldn't take them over the hump. The knock on D'Antoni is he had a loaded roaster that he could not take over the hump.
Guess thats why the Lue talk has disappeared.
He would be a terrible fit for the Sixers. I don't want to see him turn the Sixers into the Rockets.
d'antoni's system only works when he's got an elite PG and guys who can shoot, and he has no idea what to do with big men
philly's roster is pretty much the complete opposite of what he needs to succeed. the bulls would be a better fit since they already have lavine. they'd just need to go out and get shooters
Reports: Jeff Van Gundy talking with Rockets about coaching job | NBA.com
Jeff Van Gundy interviewed with Rockets Wednesday, conversations will continue Thursday, per report
Think he'll end up getting it. They know him well, hes a pretty good coach and they'll need a veteran guy to run that team.
He's a terrible coach. I hope nobody hires him.
I wonder if we see something like
Basically Dinwiddie as the playmaker, Kyrie/KD/Harris as the shooters, and Allen as the rebounder. Another option would be Kyrie as playmaker with Lavert as 2.
the nets are one of the few teams who have the right personnel to successfully run d'antoni's system
