Don't see any possible way another team is going to claim a 37 year old with a 3M cap hit that has 3 points in 26 games.

This seems like the most likely scenario, IMO. I don't blame Sammy, I put 100% of the blame on Holland. He should have never been signed to that contract. Same with Cleary.

I don't think it'd be 3 million but whatever his salary is for the rest of the season. That being said I don't think Samuelsson is attractive as a 1.3-1.5M player either so I expect to see him head to GR. What are the chances that we could loan him to a SHL team for the rest of the season?

His cap hit wouldn't change regardless of how much money he is owed.
