Would some of you who've seen a bit of Mark Mitera give me a few thoughts on him? Anything regarding his game, expected draft position, speculation on the WJC's, future professional career, or anything at all really, would be much appreciated. Thanks alot.

Would some of you who've seen a bit of Mark Mitera give me a few thoughts on him? Anything regarding his game, expected draft position, speculation on the WJC's, future professional career, or anything at all really, would be much appreciated. Thanks alot.

Mitera is going to be a first rounder. I've seen him ranked in the top 10.

He's not fast like Jack Johnson, but he's got decent speed for a big kid.

He's smart and dependable in his own zone. He uses his size well. He throws the odd big hit.

Offensively, he's got some assets. He makes a good first pass and and he has a heavy shot.
But the instincts aren't quite there on this side of the ice.

IMO, he'll be a good 2-4 defenseman defenseman who kills penalties.
