was not expecting that.
Cory Schneider's Game 7 heroics.
Just a reminder that this guy was hired in May of 2014. From Peter Chiarelli's inner circle. Coming up on 5 years Jimbo.
Michael DiPietro is clearly not Rick's son. Rick DiPietro could never impregnate someone without getting injured.
He couldn't have played through that?
Typically you don't play your goalie experiencing lower body tightness after having started him 3 games in 4 or 5 nights because you're just asking for him to get injured and then you'd be relying on Dipietro to start for weeks.
Gotcha. I didn't realize Vancouver had played that many games lately.
Because Canucks management is incompetent.
Didn’t San Jose shell Malcom Subban as well when he was with the Bruins?
That was St Louis
4 goals on 6 shots before being pulled.
Ah, yes. It was...
We have 2 goaltenders under contract that aren't out for the season (Bachman has been out for the season since late December).
They've had 5 weeks to sign another pro goaltender or two (and a week since recalling DiPietro because Demko got injured) and they've done nothing.
Even Utica GM Ryan Johnson was begging for goaltending help a month ago.
It happens. Goalies generally have stronger psyches than other players, this won't affect him in the long run.
Yeah that just sounds like failure by managment. When McKenna was claimed Canucks should've went out and signed someone or traded for someone just as an insurance. You just never know and you don't want to happen what happened today.
If the Canucks still had Cory Schneider, he would have probably done that about 3 times this year.
our farm team Utica was at the top of the AHL with Gillis
glad Benning has perfected tanking in the AHL
Inexcusable that he was put in that position in the first place given how long we've known about injuries.
Just a tough position to put him in. Sharks are a very good team that can run up the score quickly.
Bush league to start a Junior goaltender in an NHL game, and against one of the best teams to boot. What did they honestly think was going to happen? I feel bad for the kid. I hope he uses it as motivation rather than getting down on himself.
Goodness gracious, what is it about utter incompetence that was passed down from Chiarelli to Benning?
Yeah. It didn't help that everything went in and Sharks must have been surprised themselves over some of their plays. Sharks just went on all cylinders. Poor kid.
Don’t they have Demko? I may be offbase here, but wouldn’t they start him?
They traded away anders nilsson
Such awful luck.
