Really feel the Rangers will look to trade RFA Namestnikov, I don’t think he was ever really in the plans. What do you think they can get for him?

Gorton was the guy that initiated his inclusion in the McDonagh deal.

He was absolutely in the plans.

Could he be moved, yes. But I doubt they are shopping him. More likely to go is Zuccs and or Spooner.

Thats moronic if Spooner is on the move but not Namestnikov

Than again ever moving Miller was a bad move in the first place.

I would be very surprised if Zucc wears a Ranger jersey again.

What are you thought with what, ind of contracts Hayes, Skecji, Vesey, Spooner and I guess Namestnikov will get?

Most of the Jackets UFAs won't be back.

Vanek is probably the only one who might get re-signed.

Jenner, Murray and Bjorkstrand will probably all get show me deals.

IMO jackets will be looking for forward and D depth. Desperately need bottom 6 centers who can contribute as well as another dman or two who can fill in the bottom 4 and eat some minutes without overpaying in FA.

If we're lucky we'll see a Panarin extension this off-season and if we're super lucky we'll see some cap shed for next off-season.

What do you think of the Jackets making a move for E.Staal (assuming MIN does a rebuild?). He has 1 year left at a very low cap hit and pushes everyone down one C spot and Foligno can go back to W. After next year the Jackets have 3 hefty raises in Bob, Panarin and Z and cap space might be limited. Could be good for a 1 year push prior to the aforementioned raises.

I think it's too pricey. He just posted 40 goals and had 2 very good back to back seasons. The assets or young players needed to make that trade for an older, UFA, doesn't seem smart for CBJ. If Wild were trading Staal, they should ask for a hefty return.
