Merry Christmas, everyone. Now to argue about present percentages and gross present total, stocking sharing and so on with the family, like "normal" people do.

Twas the night before Christmas and all through the ice
Not a player was skating and we're paying the price.
Banners still hanging in the rafters with care
For all the heroes past that brought us there.
The posters all posting with Isles in their heads
While visions of Oleg danced in their heads.
Mom in her jersey and dad in his cap
Watch Reality TV and fall into a nap.
When on in the news we hoped for a clatter
Like Bettman and Fehr would settle the matter.
The players would scurry to Twitter to dash
Some obnoxious photos of all of their cash.
He spoke cocky words of the sum of his work
And fans everywhere were annoyed with the jerk.
And for all of his words, confirmed he's an ass
We'd hoped in these times he'd show fans some class.
No hockey, no hope for the love we all share
Both sides prove at all times that they really couldn't care.
No hockey for you, and we'll continue this fight
Over your dollars and dreams, and no doing what's right.

I got an Islanders 2013 calendar. The July 2013 picture is Andrew MacDonald, but the name on the bottom of it says #17 Matt Martin. MacDonald is already the May 2013 picture. Typical Islanders.

Merry Christmas from West Islip. It's great to be back on Long Island for the Christmas holiday. Just one thing is missing from my semi annual visit, a night at the Nassau Coliseum to catch my favorite team. The first time in 8 years, I won't be seeing the Islanders at home.
It doesn't feel right!!!
