Is it just me or did someone in the Mn organization owe Merril's family a favor? From a hockey standpoint I can't see this guy cracking any AHL lineup!

He’s another example of Guerin extending a player earlier than he needs to. Guerin gave him a 3 year extension in the middle of the 21-22 season.

I think he’s one of those guys who is a Corsi or xG beast too, or at least he used to be. I actually don’t hate him because he is rangy and covers a lot of ground. But he has been pretty bad the last 12 months.
