Mercury is interesting. Something like 900 degrees F on the sun side and -300F on the dark side, an Earth-like magnetic field unlike many other planets, no real atmosphere because it lacks the gravity to hold the gases in and the overpowering solar flux destroys any atmosphere that attempts to develop.

You might say it's a shooting star, leaping through the sky like a tiger defying the laws of gravity.
