With the short season it was imperative to get off to a good start which we know the Kings have not. I do believe the Kings are getting their legs and now need to get some type of momentum going. With the way DS coaches being in shape to fore-check and pound the boards have taken a while and thus makes the team much less effective.

Also I don't think it was smart to play Quick so much from the start as he looks tired physically and mentally. The bad start to the season is probably the main reason DS has had to go to Quick so often as well as killing Scuderi and Doughty with 30 min games.

If I am not mistaken the Kings and the Ducks have never made the playoffs the same year, and with the way the Ducks are playing, that is not a good omen for L.A.
