If this trade means that Werner goes from #1 to #2 for the Eagles, I'd say it's a poor trade. Bibeau is what he is at this stage of development. I'd rather test Werner to see what he's capable of.

Looks to me that they want Werner to be the main guy on their ECHL team so he can play a lot instead of being a backup in the AHL and only play 30 games...and I'm fine with that. He can get used to the NA style AND be a starter at the same time. He does well there then he can take over as the #1 goalie for the Eagles the year after.

Looks like they want Miska and Bibeau to battle it out in the AHL and as the #3 on the Avs' depth chart.

Why would the Sharks trade for Mark Barberio? He's not really a massive upgrade on anyone they currently have on the back line there.

That said, I'm curious as to how this Barbs situation plays out.

Well I’m hoping they deal him before that happens. Graves can be the 7th guy. Barbs was lousy in that role (even when healthy) anyway.

Mind you, I doubt they get much of anything for him but an extra pick could still be useful.
