Speculation: Melnyk End Game (theory)

Reality
We all argue about Spezza and whether to "keep him" or not...I don't think that's the question. Allow me to propose a theory and let me know what you guys think.

Is Melnyk resistant to spending with the end goal to relocate this team? Basically, drain the talent, cut the spending, bottom out, kill the attendance and then relocated to let's say...Markham?? OK, maybe the city is off, but he will get a new facility, and a bunch of other cash, etc.... What do you guys think?

I didn't even include the crap going on with the City... you guys are telling me if CityX gives him a Casino and a new facility while our season ticket numbers are down, Crazy Uncle Euge wouldn't consider it??

Is it that far off?
