Basically it says besides the players i mentioned before, Glumac, Martinovic, Perkovich and Kostovic have resigned and Shaone Morrisonn will be the new aquisition. And also Letang will (also because of the success of the NT and unexpected well plays of the Croatian players in it and the goalie since some of em went into it glumely because of a few big names not coming) decided to most probably postpone retirement for one more year.

P.S. yeh Tomljenovic is surprisingly really awesome!!!

LOL Letang will probably have to play, in order for us to make magic number of 5 NT players. Perks, Kosta, Sale - that's only 3. Kids can't be part of that list, if you want them to be U22/U21 "additions" to main roster.
So either you get players that were sent to Olimpija back - if they want to spend another season in the stands. And that's a big IF. Or you bring back Sertich. And Letang.

They can be, as we had Luka Mikulic filling #5 spot this year.

Perkovich, Kostovic, Sasa Martinovic, Sertich, McAuley, Waugh, Sinisa Martinovic, Letang,(all additions if u will although some are croatians) Rendulic, Kanaet, Novak (surprisingly), Tomeljenovic (surprisingly), Sakic. Those are all strong note worthy players of the NT. ALthough those young players have done a great job and even scored more than the famous names lol. Including the older Croatian league players. Those bigger names make the Croatian players be and play better and with fire and confidance. Its good for their development.

Sure they can be young, but I believe they still have to be listed as part of main roster (which has to have 5NTs), not youngsters. Though it seems that recent rule changes, from January I think, haven't been added to official document on KHL pages till March, which was last time I looked at it. So, I could be off on this, as I didn't follow news that closely back then.

@bobbeaver - relax man. I'm talking about KHL roster, not Croatian national team ...

How are the salaries of the people who are extending their contracts? Are they going to be the same or will they be raised?

Also ,what about total payroll? Will it be the same or increase?

trade secrete. probably the same or slightly more, Medvescak is thrifty in that department and more banking on "accessories".
For now same budget as last year (including the Wetopunkt sponsor that came in later) unless some new US sponsor doenst come in (which they are suposedly looking for), which is doubtful or one of the sponsors ups their Sponsorship money.

One more question - roughly how much money do they get from where/whom?

Trade secret. The original deal with Medvedev was that we needed to find atleast 50% of the budget and Russia would supply the rest of the 10 mil EU. Which ment if we find 70% russians would give us 30% for 3 year period. Everything later we get from new sponsors is on top (i belive wetopunkt is on top but im not sure). How much was gathered from "local" businesses and how much russian is unknown. also alot of Russian firms (like Sberbank is agressively trying to get into the market) are very active here so now they might be seen as "local" now although they might have been originaly persuaded by Medvedev to invest. Its not an easy thing to answer. Only Russian business that didnt sponsor Medvescak that has a stronger presence here at all is Lukoil.
As for who sponsors them and who are main sponsors go on Medvescak website n ull see the logos

Sberbank is not club's sponsor.

70% russian money (gazprom through subsidiary in Croatia PPD), Wettpunkt, and some others.

30% or less local. Maybe 10% goverment money

The deal was 50 50 or Medvedev wouldnt give them sponsors and get them to KHL, atleast that was repeated again and again. The 50% is what Medvescak found in the whole region not just croatia while 50% was what Medvedev gave them. But oyu cant mix those up though and say 70% is foreign (atleast that is not what he was asking or aiming at). Also Wetopunkt was arranged by Medvescak, not by Medvedev and it is local. You got plenty of those casinos around. I mean if you count them foreign than Citroen is also foreign, Generali insurance, Pilos is also foreign and so on. In that case only The Croatian gas company and Belupo and Croatian tourist board and PAN is the only local sponsors, which is not so.
