They came hard tonight and they played really well. When we scored the fourth one, I knew I have to keep it together here.
If they get one, then they’re going to get going and sure enough they get second goal there and the game turned from not having any life at all to just being all over us.
So, we found a way and we’re going to Game 7.
- Henrik Lundqvist

It’s always nice to be able to get one on the first shift, get one early. I think that was important that we had a good start.
At the same time though, those goals, it’s off a faceoff play, the second one especially, those are teamwork goals. I’m just on the receiving end.
I think we had a good start, but it’s playing 60 minutes because I think they had a lot more in the second and third than we did.
- Chris Kreider

We’re happy we battled back and got the series tied.
We had a good game, but there are a lot of things we have to clean up to be more successful on Wednesday.
- Dan Girardi

I expect the same type of atmosphere that we had in Washington. It was loud, their fans were behind their team, and our great fans are going to do the same thing for us at home.
We fought hard and long to have the opportunity to have home ice for Game 7 and that’s what we’re going to have.
- Alain Vigneault

Go Caps! Office will be unbearable tomorrow if the Rangers pull this out.

Time for Ovi to put up or shut up.

I have nothing to go on, it just seems like the sort of game that Henrik Lundqvist and the Rangers win. I wouldn't be foolish enough to try to guarantee it, though.

Everyone in the hockey world outside New York is rooting for the Caps.

Goooo Caps!!
Sweeping generalizations are killers. I like the Caps well enough, but I don't dislike the Rangers in the least. They are more fun to watch under Alain Vigneault than they were when coached by that shot-blocking, trap-embracing madman that they had a couple years back.

Lundqvist is 9-0 in elimination games at MSG.
Rangers are 5-0 in last five game 7s.
Rangers are 6-0 in last six game 7s at MSG.
Rangers are 4-0 under tonight's referees in 2015 playoffs.
Caps are 0-3 under tonight's referees in 2015 playoffs.
Caps are 0-4 since 1998 in 2nd round series clinching games.
Caps are 0-4 in game 7s in series that they have lead 3-1.

There is no way that all of those streaks continue. One must fall. They all fall.

Goooo Caps!!

I don't doubt that this is true, but I also don't understand it. The Caps play an ugly, boring game, just like the Rangers used to. If I were a neutral fan I'd be rooting for the Rangers for sure. The entertainment value of a Rangers/TBL series is much greater than WAS/TBL.

rangers. Way too Ranger-y for them to lose. They never lose these types of games.
