[FIELDSET="QUOTES TO NOTE"]

It’s a tough one, it really stinks. You take a few minutes to regroup here. Going down the last few minutes, it’s like playing in overtime.
Obviously the last few seconds there, I feel like we all just kind of stopped when Boyle went down. We lost our focus a little bit and gave up the last chance.
The way it happened, I was kind of going to my right and it looked like the puck was going to come out on my right and then when it came out, I was too late to come down. It’s a tough one.
- Henrik Lundqvist

Five guys are responsible for playing defense. I have to be more aware.
- J.T. Miller

There's no doubt that one of my focuses is going to get my top players to play at a top level.
Washington's top players tonight played a real strong game and we're going to need to be better.
- Alain Vigneault

Enough of the conspiracy talk regarding the officiating. It's doing nothing to contribute to the thread and the discussion of the game. Any further posts of that matter will be deleted.
Enough of the complaining about the refs. It's frustrating, I get it but it isn't doing anything but derailing this thread. If you want to complain about the refs, you have GDT's on each team's board.

If the Rangers try to get physical, it wont end well for them.

Looking forward to another good game. Rangers still need to find that next playoff gear and even this series up. Maybe MSL will remember how he's gotten through his whole career so far as a top 6 player that can skate with the big boys, despite his size. He's looked like a ping pong ball all 6 post season games so far and falls down 3 times a game without even being touched.

Trotz was a smart hire for the Caps. Yes he's a defensive coach, but he's actually an NHL caliber one. They're going to be a very, very tough matchup for the Rangers.

Watch out Backstrom. We all know what happens when you get a clean check on Boyle.

Holtby should put an electronic dog fence collars on Kreider

Id be very suprised if we beat the rangers today. But they gotta repeat that same defensive performance. The goals will come eventually
