Thompson in and Brossoit out saves 1.58 million, added to the 750k any defensive roster player would take up that's 2.33 million and just about covers McNabb.

Basically Thompson and McNabb is only 500k more than Brossoit and defensive plug.

Dadonov needs to be traded anyway.

I think we'll have around 7.4 million for Hague, Roy, Howden, Kolesar RFA and a third line LW with a 22 man roster.

That's about 1.48 million each so if some get more then others will need less. Would help if a rookie ELC could take the third line spot.

Kessel may be looking to sign at a discount, if rumors are to be believed.
