McDavid never should've signed an 8year contract

I understand McDavid wanted financial security, afterall you never know what can happen but he gave away all his leverage to put pressure on the Oilers to put a team around him. They have some nice pieces but nowhere near a championship roster, Matthew's was not afraid to hold firm with the Leafs and he's nowhere near as good as McDavid.


McDavid could've basically written his own contract and didn't do it. You gotta think his legacy matters to him

Mcdavid should be better. He was ass against the leafs. He barely generated anything

The oilers will have cap space this offseason so should have more flexibility and a deeper team next year. The excuses wont last much longer after that.

Make the playoffs this year, get ass kicked by Jets, and then come back with a good team next year after getting rid of the waste and be a contender
