Went with Mazur but almost instantly thought it should've been Cossa the way hes finished the season. Wallinder and Soderblom getting votes isnt that surprising at all either.

This is Cossa very comfortably for me. I think he's really shown the kind of growth to really cement himself as a future number 1. Him, Ed and Kasper are all in the a tier of probable stars and pieces we cannot move. After that comes guys that I really like but are tradeable in the right deal.

I would add Gylander personally.

Voted Mazur. He seems like such an easy bet to translate to a gritty middle six scorer. Wallinder and Cossa were close.

Add Dylan James, I will always be advocating for more respect thrown his way.

Soderblom is closest and will likely play top 9. He will play 100 games before Cossa plays in NHL.

Add James
Yeah, I went with Soderblom mostly due to him being the closest to contributing and moving off the prospect list. Wallinder will give him a run for his money so I can see voting for him.

Cossa is still a few years away but may have the highest upside, so it's a matter of what you value most.

I think Soderblom has the most potential of the rest, but I also think he’s the skater with the smallest probability of hitting it.

Wallinder - most likely a #3/4, potentially a top pair guy
Mazur - most likely 3rd line scrappy guy that can move up and down. Potentially top 6 scrappy guy
Soderblom - most likely 3rd line and pp specialist, potentially top line sniper
Cossa - most likely 1a/1b starter, potentially superstar
Albert Johansson - most likely a #4/5, potential #3 puck mover.

If someone likes to think what is our U24 currently:

U24
Berggren - Kasper - Raymond
Veleno - Rasmussen - Zadina
XXX - XXX - XXX
XXX - XXX - XXX

Edvinsson - Seider
XXX - XXX
XXX - XXX

XXX
XXX

These are graduated and already voted guys.

Using U25 does not make any difference and U23 excludes only Rasmussen.

Let's see how the "lineup" will progress. I'll add guys after every voting round.

i'm pretty torn between Cossa and Wallinder here

ended up voting for Wallinder mostly due to the Goalie factor

Mazur. There’s something special with this kid. His trajectory has been rocketing, his game his highly translatable to the NHL, and there’s no real holes in his game. May never be a play driver, but his ceiling is as an absolute premier complementary winger.

Cossa could easily wind up better if he hits his ceiling, great finish to his season so far, but still too many question marks here.

Wallinder has had good progression, but my biggest concern over him won’t truly be tested until he sees the NHL and its forecheck. I still don’t fully trust him.

Soderblom is a curiosity still. Intriguing ceiling, but still too many holes in his game, with no guarantee of his good tools translating up. Still need more “prove it” from him.

Went with Mazur. He has been brilliant for two years, instantly went point per game in the AHL too. Plays with a ton of jam, the full 200 feet, will be able to slide up an down a lineup in a variety of roles. I think he gets to the team at some point next year and never goes away.

I am a huge Wallinder guy, had him in my top 15 in his draft year. I think he had massive growth this year, but there has been some uneven moments. Still he looks like an answer in the top 4 at some point soon.

Cossa really eased a lot of concern with his play over the backhalf. I still see him as a really encouraging goalie of the future. He is on track in terms of how goalies develop, but I think the previous two have a little more certain NHL projections at this point.

I think he has a bunch more physicality, but a player Mazur does remind me of at times in terms of massive ceiling is Jake Guentzel. Smaller dude but shows up in heavy traffic areas. Has a real the puck follows him around quality when watching Denver or his times with USA Hockey the last few years. He has a lot of offense to him while bringing a bunch of other elements, I think his vision and hands are underrated.

Translation: this kid's favorite player is Helm? He is now my favorite player!
