Zetterberg- Value wise yes. But DET probably keeps Z, Patches isn't young enough to help the rebuild
Spezza- Value wise yes, but DAL needs the centerman more then the winger, so DAL declines. Also doubt Spezza would waive

The Jets need a centre like Little more than another winger.

Ive read a few threads where Dallas fans are penciling in Spezza to actually play wing this year because of their center depth, so im not sure thats 100% true.

Little makes no sense because Jets have insanely good wing depth, specifically on the left side.

Last thing the Jets need is more wingers, no thx. We need Little or someone who is a very good 2C like Little.

Zero interest in Patches

Ignoring the unlikelihood that Z would be traded, there's no reason for the Wings to make that move. Pacioretty, while a great player, does little for a bad team trending worse that needs young players and futures.

From a habs perspective it's no to all of them.

I get that centers tend to be more valuable than winger, but Pacioretty is easily a better player than all 3 (Zetterberg is old, fantastic career though).

Patches holds more value then all those players. AINEC. Stop with this nonsense.

a 35-40 goal scorer at 28 with two years left at 4.5 ridiculous assessments in here. lord jesus christ and the almighty

Why exactly would the Habs move Pacioretty for a 29 year old, 34 year old or 36 year old?

Pacioretty is younger and gets more goals and points than them all....

To answer your question: yes, they could. But they wouldn't. Your suggestions aren't good enough and it doesn't make THAT much sense for some of the other teams.

True but most of his points are pointless, they are not quality points or goals.

Because having Danault as your 1C does not bode well.

Bruins fan and can't believe I'm saying this about a habs player but Max is being grossly underrated in my opinion

He scores half of his goals against non playoff teams plus he scores like 3-5 empty net goals not to mention he's terrible in the playoffs. He also can't pass and plays scared, so please tell me how he's underrated.

Wait...
The Habs issue is missing a legit 1st Center.
Solution : Acquire three players who aren't legit 1st Centers.

But neither these guys would bode well either!

Exactly. MTL is lacking offense, why would we trade our only surefire offensively for a downgrade?

We need to acquire a legitimate playmaking C to play alongside Pacio, not trade him for that piece.

a 34 year old Spezza does not come close to getting Pacioretty, one of the top 5 goal scorers in hockey the last 5 years.
