The Oilers and the Coyotes represent two examples of how poor coaching can destroy a team. The Oilers have Stanley Cup caliber talent yet poor use of that talent renders them middle of the pack. The Coyotes have .500 level talent, but poor coaching and talent utilization renders them worst in the league. Both teams need new coaching/GM.

I don't think we can do much GM wise. Chayka has made some decent deals, they just haven't panned out (and yes, he could use a more experienced voice to bounce ideas off of). In terms of coaching; Chayka should just ask RT to look at adjusting his strategy a bit until he can get the right players (or more experience pups) in. RT probably won't listen, but he may. We could easily have a team with two lines of speedsters and two lines of defensive/energy guys; the problems seems to be more in wanting players to be more interchangeable within the game (so opposing teams can't adjust as easily). Of course we also need to get better (or more flexible) players on the team, but that's more on AB's shoulders than JC's. As it stands, JC needs to try and get the right personnel in on the cheap until a new owner/increased budget comes along. In order to do this, JC needs a more experienced consultant to provide more informed recommendations (until AB comes up with more money or sells).
