Leafs played awful, Montreal played their hearts out (credit to them, they were prepared) but skill won out

This team struggles getting the puck out of their zone with possession. They continually chipped the puck out and gave it back to the Habs D who would then shove it back into the Leafs zone.

Matthews is awesome. Dermott and Rielly looked good, but the rest of the D was pretty painful to watch. The whole team....so lethargic compared to the Habs.

Well there it is boys, Leafs play at barely half the intensity they’re capable of while Montreal played like it was their cup final and we still win.

Our talent alone got us the win tonight but we have to play better next game. Like Matthews said himself, it was an ugly win.
