currently only 5 players in the SHL playoffs have more points then Norlinder, that won't last long since his season ended today but still impressive.
He leads all defensemen in goals and points, his 3 goals, only 3 other blueliners have more then 3 pts.

Per Patrik Bexell, Norlinder is invited to the National team camp for WC. It would be great if he made the team but will probably be tough considering that some NHLers will be there and Sweden has some great ones.
I guess that standout playoff performance - he led Frolunda and all SHL defensemen in scoring - got him the invite.

Let's hope Nygren knows the AHL team is no longer in Hamilton.
If my math is right, that link has him listed at 5’11.5 and 179pounds. So slightly taller than Suzuki but 30 pounds lighter

there's no way to really know that, he could be in the NHL next year if he cleans up his defensive game and stays healthy.

Agreed. He certainly has something special. I can see why Sweden would want players with more experience though.

for sure as it's my understanding they are making room for possible NHLers last time I checked on the international tournaments board.

that's just the roster for the Czech games coming up, the WC's aren't for a couple weeks. They are waiting on NHLers though a few already said no.

If he's playing for the Habs next year, we're in trouble. Hopefully he can join Laval

He could easily breakout next year in the SHL and then get signed and come over at the end of the season, by no means would it mean we were in trouble. There's no way to know what kind of season he will have next year.
