How long was it after the Leafs won the 1st pick in 2016 did Laine's hype go up that he should be picked instead or the Jets would end up with the better player?

Laine was labelled a generational talent the second the Leafs won the lottery As far as the Finnish crew's hype of him goes - he was doomed to never live up to the monumental expectations that were imposed on him. Apparently he's not scoring 60+ goals because of Bryan Little.

Much like how Dahlin is being labelled a generational talent as soon as he gets compared to a Leaf. Eichel can't be as good as Matthews because he plays on a bad team and we will see that exact same excuse being used for Dahlin, take it to the f***ing bank.

It's funny to look back and see how some people really hyped Eichel and compared him to McDavid prior to them being drafted.

Now I'm not calling Matthews generational or comparing him to McDavid, however would you not agree it's hypocritical that Dahlin is being called generational by some people on here. If Toronto was selecting 1st overall this year I guarantee no one would refer to him like that.
