Good pros who work hard and are stand up family guys will always be options. Marleau is probably the front runner imho.

Marleau could keep an A, but I don't see him being named captain at 41 in his last season. They'll make it a young guy and will likely follow the lead of Edmonton and Buffalo. Matthews will be captain.

I have a hunch it will end up being Rielly.

I sincerely hope not.

I'd rather him not have to worry about the added pressure of being captain and continue on focusing on improving as an all-round defenceman, as we've been seeing rapidly over the past 2 seasons.

Tavares is a finished product as a franchise centre. He can handle it all.
