Which trio combines for more points next year?

They were extremely close last year (193 points for the leafs - 190 points for the jets) and i expect them to be close again this year, with improved health for Matthews and Scheifele (hopefully!) And the expected jump in production for both Marner and Laine this coming year.

It's pretty even to be honest. I'd take Leafs because I have Matthews as the best player, especially since he's only 21.

If we take contracts into consideration I prob take Winnipeg.

I see it as:
Scheiffle = Matthews
Laine > Marner
Ehlers = Nylander

Should be very close again though.

Although you could end up being right cause it’s a toss up. Your logic doesn’t make sense Scheifele missed more games than Matthews did last year and it’s safe to assume the Jets Trio will also get more pints due to development.

Scheifele is 25 Not 30

I think his contract is a bigger factor than his age

Assuming all six players play full season:

Total goals scored: Jets trio

Total points scored: coin flip, whoever wins likely by less then 5 points.

Both trio are very good.

That's not player evaluation, that's how I think the points will work out.

Marner gets to play with tavares this year so I feel like he may out score laine but it should be close.

Matthews will be playing with nylander, both are going into their third season and should see improvement. Although I see scheifele possibly out producing matthews by a couple points.

Now here I feel more comfortable saying that nylander will have more points than ehlers. Seems to me like he has more chemistry with matthews than ehlers does with laine. Feel like he will feed more off matthews

Maybe I'm severely underrating Laine, but I could see Marner getting more points than him this season. Matthews and Scheifele both look like point per game centers, so it will be interesting to see which one takes that next step. And Nylander versus Ehlers is a bit of a saw off for me.

I lean toward the Leafs duo. Which is surprising I voted that way since apparently I hate all things Leafs no matter what.
