Oh my god, thats terrible. So sorry for Murr. I hope he takes as much time as he needs. Hockey is nothing in front of family. RIP to his dad.

Definitely sad. He can take all the time he wants. I still have my parents and the thought of losing them when I was in my early 20’s is awful.

Awful news. Lost my Dad at the same age as Matt. Tearing up just thinking about it.

I lost my Dad at 16 so sadly know the heartbreak it causes.

Rest in peace James and love to all the Murray family and friends.

You definitely made your father proud of you Matt. Condolences to Matt and his family during this difficult time.
Aye, he saw his Son rise to a very high level playing the game he loves but more importantly he saw his Son become a lovely man.

I got to meet Jim the last couple summers with Matt bringing the Cup home. Soft spoken guy, very proud of both his sons. I took this photo of him & Matt after he retold a story about how in Kindergarten, Matt made him a Stanley Cup and he kept it.

My Dad is a wanker sometimes but I can't imagine him being gone, sad to hear for Murray and I hope he takes the time he needs and doesn't rush back with all of that emotion still running through him. It's good to be with family so hopefully Murray gets that proper grieving in with his loved ones.
