Apparently has had pain for the past month, might be a reason why I haven't liked his play for a while.

Another one bites the dust. How many injuries is that now?

Hope for a speedy recovery! Surgery isn't fun! Maybe this explains Hunwick's poorish play as of late! Should be a solid piece of our bottom pairing next season and trade-deadline bait!

Massively overutilized.

According to his HERO chart, he's a middle of the road 2nd pair guy possession wise, and bottom pairing offensively. He's okay as long as you keep him to, say, 15 minutes a game. But he looks really exposed out there playing 23 minutes a game.

I trust in Babcock, but this particular decision is a real head scratcher.

We need a top-end defenceman so badly to go with Gardiner.

It's an unfortante set of circumstances, it's no one's fault..

"I just met you, so this is crazy. Here's my number... you're never playing hockey again."

[in all seriousness - I hope Hunwick gets better].

Another sports Hernia - what's going on

Feel sorry for Hunwick - please let Carrick play for rest of the season

Is Harrington going to see some time?

I think Babcock really like Hunwicks preparation and compete, and is using him as an example that those two attributes get rewarded. Nothing wrong with that IMO.

I see this being our lines next season:
Rielly-
Gardiner-Zaitsev
Hunwick-Carrick
Marincin (if what Babcock said today had any truth)

Leafs trade for a top 2 D or sign a top 4 D to play with Rielly.

Edit: I also wouldn't be surprised to see the Leafs package Gardiner with some prospects to get a better quality asset in return as well.

That clip is the best.

Wont miss Hunwick. Really dragging Rielly down.

Rielly - Carrick
Gardiner - Carrado
Percy - Marincin

I would assume Percy is coming up, maybe Loov?

God that's an ugly Defense. Gotta keep Rielly and Gardiner separated or you'll have 2 bad pairings. I would give Carrick a shot at a game with Rielly.
