Matt Cullen has 1499GP, and is a dark horse for HHOF at best.

Matt Cullen has 1499GP, tied with Modano for 20th in Games Played, and will reach Game #1500 on March 5th 2019. The only players with as many or more Games Played than him not in the HHOF are Jagr, Marleau, Thornton and Iginla, all players not currently eligible and all of them will most likely get in. While Marleau's International Career will tip him in eventually, Matt Cullen's mere 1 Bronze at world's and 3 cups probably won't be enough.

This is how I am going to start Matt Cullen's dark horse discussion for Hall of Fame.
Let's Discuss.

Cullen is not a dark horse hall of fame candidate, or any kind of hall of fame candidate.

Good player with a good career though.

Marleau (unfortunately) has a nontrivial chance of getting in because of career point totals.

HHOF cares about career points not GP. Nobody cares about Glen Wesley or Scott Melanby for HHOF
