I’m only here because I want to gush about this kid. You guys have such an exciting player on your hands with MEP. If you ever get the chance to watch NCAA games, I highly suggest you do it. He’s DU’s most skilled forward by a decent margin already as a freshman.

Yeah, if the Flames didn't draft him I'd have no idea who he is.

Because of where he plays, and his country of origin, I think a lot of people who don't follow the team closely will be sleeping on this kid.

Then he'll show up at camp, put on a clinic, and everyone will ask "where'd this guy come from?"

Not us though. We will know.

I know his point production slowed down, but I’m still impressed by some of the skill he possesses, in particular his playmaking:



Could be a diamond in the rough. If he improves on this year, I like his chances of being an nhler. I’d say his ceiling is somewhat similar to that of Mikael Backlund.

BTW, Pettersen's team advanced to the Frozen Four last weekend. Semifinals are on the 11th (finals on the 13th), I think they are usually shown on TSN.
