He is a top 4 guy on just about any team in the league so I say it’s much more about player than system. Regardless the OP is a poop sandwich of an offer IF we was even looking to move him..... which we are NOT.

Martinez was a -4.7 rel xGF% (a stat that only counts unblocked shots so don’t go there that’s only a hole with corsi) against average qoc with very low qot (tough but not insanely tough mins). Compare to Alex Edler, who had a -1.6 in tougher mins (elite qoc, low qot but not quite as low as Martinez). We can also compare him to 16-17 Martinez, who had a +1.8 rel xGF% against above average competition with below average teammates. So yeah, “bounce back” was the right phrase.
