    Brodeur
Espo just sat in the slot and waited for a pass.

He was leading by one when I last checked. I wanted more separation, but the poll has been open long enough and who knows how long it would have taken for one of them to build up a decent lead.

A lot of people don't realize Esposito set a lot of the records that Gretzky later broke.

The (relatively) short period of time from Espo's peak and Gretzky's early 80s destruction of records probably hurt his standing in hindsight.

Sharing the ice with Orr also allows people to discount his achievements (even though Espo was amazing in his own right).

That's funny because Brodeur has a lot of records that have yet to be broken.

Esposito even being above 10% shows I guess this website has a very anti-Broduer monocker like they do anti-Leafs.

Esposito was nowhere near half as good at forward as Brodeur was at goalie. Theres a reason Brodeur is always named top 3-4 and Esposito isnt even a thought when talking top 3-5-10 forwards

Holy cow Esposito is being underrated.

Also, Brodeur played on the team system built around defense, so it definitely inflated his stats. He’s a borderline top 5 goalie of all time.

Voted Marty simply because my team (Rangers) never made a dumb ass trade for him.

Esposito is underrated here because he played with Bobby Orr and his great numbers were shattered by Gretzky. And Fatso is overrated, he played behind hall of fame defensemen and the infamous trap for a good part of his career.

I feel like it would’ve been pretty difficult for him to lead the league in assists 3 times if that’s all he did
