Controlling play in the 2nd, Marlies jumping out to a 2-0 lead. Baptiste and Sandin with the goals.

Wow Sandin with 3 assists.

Kid could really be on the Leafs to start next season.

Brooks scored .. Tima, Bracco, Engvall all get assists

I'd be shocked if he wasn't, barring a big regression or some form of injury that prevents it. He's been damn good.

Bump for game 2.
Head-to-head start time with the big team....smh at the timing...I have to work.
No reinforcements from the Leafs (Marincin or Rosen) announced that I’ve seen.
Be a nice time for Kas to go on a run.

A few of those defenseman can play the right, including Sandin. Rosen was a RD when he was paired with Borgman.

Saw us mentioned as The Good Guys in the title. Not sure if anyone caught that, but Boucher referred to the Bruins as the good guys in Game 1. Good look for a supposedly impartial broadcast.

Leafs aren't going to make a rookie play his offside at the NHL level, so Sandin is only making the Leafs at his natural position. IMO

Leafs RHD is weak but playing guys in the AHL out of position is also different than doing it at the NHL level.

Leafs are far more likely to address the right side defense this summer via UFA/trade, than think there is Marlie help on the way.. Liljegren is the guy being developed for the RHD but he is far from close yet.

Its great for his development that Sandin is doing well in the AHL playoffs and helping Marlies win but that is a lot different than meaning he is NHL ready.. Last year Rosen was excellent for Marlies in the Calder Cup on their way to victory and he was only a late season NHL add (post injury) where even RHD like Oz and Holl played ahead of him.

I don't think it matters at all what their experience is if they have experience from their Junior/Europe teams. Rosen for example played a lot of pro games as a RD. Move Rielly to the right with Muzzin, and keep Rosen as the #7 defenseman. Sounds easy enough for me.

At the end of the day, Sandin is way too good to be kept off the Leafs roster. Of course if there's enough depth, it's possible he starts with the Marlies and they go the Kapanen/Johnsson/Moore/Dermott route.

Marlies take game 2 in OT.
Bracco with the winner and his 2nd goal of the game.
I don't think many people thought they would 2 games in Rochester.

Hollowell made his debut. Keefe played him and Duszak today in a surprise move.
