The Leafs have no choice but to allow them to play in the world Jr Championship it is the players who choose if they want to go not the teams. They would have to be on the Leafs roster for it to be the Teams choice.

I wonder what the future considerations could be. Could this be something in the vein of the famous “Tom ‘Bussey’ Martin for a used bus trade?” Not that the Marlies need another bus, probably. And hey, a bus is pretty valuable. Is Glass good enough to be worth a bus, used or otherwise? Maybe it could be a backup Zamboni? Or one of those really wide ice scraper shovels? Every team could use one more of those.

As a self proclaimed prospect junkie, I did say at time of draft that Justin Pogge (#90) and Jeff Glass (#89) were on the same level of NHL prospects one going right after each other in the 2004 draft.

Does that count for anything now 14 years later with hindsight?
