The Marlies have swept the Milwaukee Admirals in round 1, which I don't think anyone expected considering that they started the series on the road, now they have a greater challenge in Chicago Wolves (St. Louis Blues farm team).
It will be tough because they have the league's number one goalie in Jake Allen, with over 30 wins in the AHL this year, so good that he is supposed to be the № 1 goalie for The Blues next year.
They also have more high end prospects then the Marlies with Ty Rattie and Dmitrij Jaskin.
I think the key in this one is to play a physical game, pressure the goalie, use our depth and not make this a goalie duel (even though Drew McIntyre has been very impressive so far).
The Marlies and Wolves have split their two regular meetings this year.
This series will start on the road.
What does everyone that follows the Marlies here think of our chances?
