Game tied at 1 after 2. 9-9 were the shots, and total 18-17 for the Griffins. Marlies have been sloppy again today, and Griffins have had some good chances.

Keefe has done an admirable job keeping this team afloat, but they really need Brooks and Kossila back. They can't generate any offense.
Poor Woll whose record will drop again, even though he doesn't deserve it.

Isn’t that 4 games in a row they’ve been sloppy?
Yup. Playing like the Leafs from a couple weeks ago.
7-2-2 record and they haven't played their best yet. They need Brooks and Kossila back. McMaster as your 1st line line centre is not good at all.
Sloppy is usually not common for a Keefe team.

Sheldon Keefe in his post game. He said the special teams haven't been good all season, but were getting all sorts of luck. He then said "we as coaches need to do a better job preparing our team".
The guy is willing to take blame, and that is one of the main differences between him and Babcock.

On an answer to his next question. He said we have dealt with significant injuries, but that shouldn't be an excuse. We have more then enough depth here, and a lot of good players. We as coaches need to be able to adjust. Special teams have been the difference in a lot of games, and that is large part a coaching issue.

I like this answer from Keefe, but honestly the PP looks so much better when they had a legitimate C there, like Brooks or Petan. Missing their top 3 Cs leaves a huge gaping hole down the middle for this team, both at ES and on the PP. It’s a lot to overcome, hopefully Petan and Brooks are back soon.

I don't think it is a coincidence that the Marlies have looked worse as soon as Brooks went down.

Then they looked a little bit better when Petan played.

The center depth has hurt them. Engvall is the only one who has looked really respectable this year, with Gaudet having the odd respectable game, but he's an AHL 4C. Really should give Luchuk a shot.

Different subject, does anyone know what happens with Ian scott? He seemed like a decent prospect. Hockey DB shows nothing.

He's still recovering from an injury. It seems like a pretty serious groin injury so it is likely going to take some time for him to come back and play to his full abilities.

Just look at Kaskisuo for most of last season. Suffered something quite similar and he went from one of the top AHL goalies to barely playable... Then as soon as he healed, he went back to one of the best.

Depending on its severity, Scott may need an extra 0.5-1 years in the ECHL next year too.
