No harm in giving Sandin or Lily the odd game off. They're playing almost half the game and this is one of two really long road trips this year. This is a 7 gamer, and they have an 8 game trip later in the year. Not a lot of time at Mastercard center to train.

I still havent heard any news about kossila and brooks. What is their injury and how long are they out for.

Even if petan doesn't clear waivers, marlies would still have brooks , kossila, engvall and gaudet up the middle.

But pretty scary to have luchuk centering your no.1 line between agostino and bracco. ( although his last year in the ohl he put up good numbers)

In a strange turn in the pro hockey world, I think the Marlies' schedule isn't as bad as NHL teams. Most games are on the weekend so the team can be in Toronto in between weekend trips. Other than the past weekend, most of the time I think the Marlies are at their facility Monday through Thursday then on the road Friday. It really couldn't be more ideal for development.

    Petan clears waivers!

All they need is Brooks back and the Marlie’s are golden (how’s he doing by the way?)

Not really. If anyone wants him, he's a better asset after clearing waivers, because then he can start in the AHL. He might get traded now.

Still waiting on Kossila and Marchment as well.

On a side note the Marlies D is back to being ridiculous... As much as people hate Marincin he is crazy good at the AHL level.

    Sandin-Liljegren
    Marincin-Schmaltz
    Gravel/Harpur/Kivihalme/Lindgren/Rubins etc..

Quick question. What do you think the percentage odds are that Kaskisuo gets called up by the Leafs to see if he can backup Andersen?

Indeed. They are playing the second worst defensive club in the OHA tonight. This is where 5 point ioghts come from.

Lineup changes: Elynuk in for Luchuk. Lindgren in for Schmaltz.
    Woll starts.
There is no question that Sandin has to be hurt.

    Could be several other things:
    Could be personal reasons.
    Could be getting traded.
    Could be ill.
Could be on standby for a call up. Rielly has been missing practices for instance.

That is such an interesting take on things. If he was sick/injured/personal they would have said something

As for the guy needs to work out, like how much mass can a guy put on in a week???

Marlies lead 1-0 after 1. Shots were 9-8 for the Griffins. I thought the Griffins had the better chances, but not a bad period for the Marlies.

That's OK, on TV he'll be unfavorably compared to DeBrincat for his entire NHL career, kind of like every time someone mentions Nylander, Pasternak is brought into the conversation.
