Honestly, I like Messier's 1995-96 season. He was outstanding and could have won the Hart, if not for Lemieux being unreal in his comeback. He also scored 47 goals and would have had 50 if not for missing a few games with injury. He was a beast that year.

Messier was unbelievable that year but Lemieux was a man possessed that year with Jagr. Both scored 60 goals and both amassed over 140 points and Lemieux missed 12 games that year, imagine if he didn't miss those games he would've easily gotten 70 goals 180 points.

I like Messier's 89/90 year as his best season, led his team in goals, assists, points plus the playoffs in points tied with Craig Simpson...won the cup to boot.
