Claude Julien juggles Bruins’ lines in practice
Julien said the moves all could be temporary, but something needed to change after the Bruins outshot the Maple Leafs Saturday night, 33-13, yet lost, 3-2.

“Because I can,†Julien said when asked why he decided to shake things up. “Because I’m the coach. And every once in a while you have to do those things. It’s as simple as that.â€

Bruins miss on offer to add Morrow
Morrow, a hardnosed winger, might have helped the Bruins rebuild some of their dwindling scoring confidence. At age 34, he is no longer considered a top six winger by most GMs but with Boston's recent struggles to score (total six goals in the last four games), he could have become an essential piece of the club's overall attack.

The Bruins now possibly will turn their attention to acquiring veteran winger Jarome Iginla from the Calgary Flames. Reports earlier today stated that Iginla informed the Flames that he would accept a deal to only four clubs--the Bruins, Penguins, Blackhawks and Kings.

Jarome Iginla puts B’s on short list
What kind of package it takes to land Iginla remains to be seen, but with longtime backstop Miikka Kiprusoff nearing the end, the Flames would certainly have keen interest in the B’s top goalie prospect, Malcolm Subban. Other trade bait could include forwards Alexander Khokhlachev and Ryan Spooner, and defensemen Matt Bartkowski, Torey Krug and David Warsofsky.

Bruins shake up all four lines .
Milan Lucic was taken off the David Krejci line and placed on the left wing with Rich Peverley and Jordan Caron, Brad Marchand was moved to the Krejci-Nathan Horton line, Daniel Paille jumped up to skate with Patrice Bergeron and Tyler Seguin while Jay Pandolfo moved to the Gregory Campbell-Shawn Thornton line with Lane MacDermid also in the Merlot mix.

Bruins’ scoring slump prompts coach Claude Julien to make changes
That time has arrived. When the Bruins take the ice tonight at TD Garden (7:05, NESN, WBZ-FM/98.5) to complete a road-home series against the Toronto Maple Leafs, they can be expected to start the game with a significantly different look to their forward lines.

That’s what happens when goals are scarce, losses pile up, and there are stretches in which a sense of urgency and desperation to fix the situation are absent.

Trade best thing for Jarome Iginla
Reports surfaced on the weekend that things have progressed to the point Iginla has given the Flames a list of four teams he’d agree to be traded to — the Boston Bruins, the Pittsburgh Penguins, the Los Angeles Kings and the Chicago Blackhawks.

Iginla on block signals rebuild in Calgary.
We contacted all the possible players in this deal — from general manager Jay Feaster, to Flames president Ken King, to Iginla’s agent Don Meehan. None would even begin to speak on or off the record about the trade that is currently being explored.

It takes time and phone calls to pull off a trade of this magnitude, however. And with the Apr. 3 deadline looming, Feaster has reached out to the various GMs on Iginla’s list – a list Iginla denied having submitted, after Sunday’s game.

“I don’t want to contribute to (the trade hype),†he said.
