We tired of knowing of that nothing will get better while he’s here. Don’t be shocked if things get worse and more questionable to flat out bad moves are made until the day he’s replaced.

Marc "Building Through the Draft" Bergevin trading the best player he's drafted (or at least the best player he's drafted left on the roster) for a player who scored 5 non-empty-net goals last season.

I simply don't understand how this moron still has a job. He inherited a team that SHOULD have been a Cup contender by now.

All prime-aged or entering their prime guys in Price (at 6.5m), Pacioretty, Subban... he had 3rd overall... he had Gallagher. We were looking solid. Plekanec was still contributing. He had one f***ing job. All he had to do was not sit on his god damn hands and add the one piece we needed down the middle. Instead he waited too f***ing long, the whole thing collapsed around him, and now we've seen:

Subban be traded for a lesser, albeit still great defenseman. Subban was just better.
Sergachev be traded for a less valuable, but good top-six WINGER. Drouin does not hold the value to this team that Sergachev would have considering our holes. This trade alone put us from one major hole (1C) to two major holes (1C and top-4 LHD).
Galchenyuk traded for a lesser player after a season where he made real strides in his 200 foot game and was being praised by CJ for it.

That's not to mention he traded Eller to make room for a broken Shaw, and that whole "one major hole (1C)" thing above was actually two major holes BEFORE the third with the LHD because he sat on his hands so f***ing much and ruined Galchenyuk's development before CJ came in that we SOMEHOW ended up needing a 1st AND a 2nd line centre and his trades have accomplished NEITHER of those.

Every god damn summer we're all baffled by how this guy retains his job and every god damn summer he makes a stupid trade for a lesser player because he was a garbage hockey player during his playing career and has no idea how to evaluate talent.

Molson is just as bad for continuing to enable this bullshit and allowing someone who continues to prove they're completely out of their element continue to negotiate trades with other GMs who are much smarter than he is. Molson is also the president despite having no hockey knowledge it seems. Our pro scouting is clearly in shambles.

I actually thought this summer would be that of some change, but it didn't take long for Bergevin to bring me back to reality with another dumb trade. Only this guy could have inherited the core he did and put us in the position we're in today.

Subban, Sergachev, Galchenyuk, Radulov (to FA), Markov (to FA) for Weber, Drouin, Domi, Hemsky, Alzner.

All thats left from pre bergie is Max, Price and Gally...oh look some skill there better trade that too. This is the team he built! Next season might be the best of his infinite comedy show. Finish 5 despite playing hard but with so little talent. You would have to actively build the team wrong to get results this bad. As of right now his only good moves- Petry and Byron(injured) 6 years of work.

I honestly put a big part of the blame on the media. They have shied away from asking the tough questions and let Bergevin feed them total BS for too long. They should have been on this guy's ass the moment he went off on Cantin because he showed there complete dishonesty and worrying signs. It just worsened from there on out.

It is not Timmins. It is Bergevin that sucks. We had McDonagh and Subban thanks to Timmins. David Fischer was a poor choice, but Timmins played a part in building the "good" parts of the team from the Gainey/Gauthier era.
