“Trades are easy” yet your only trade proposals are pretty much impossible yet you whine about it and when a player like Duchene is available you give a big “hard pass.” These are the actions of a petulant child who’s not getting their way. Keep hoping for trades for players who aren’t available and being disappointed when they don’t happen while simultaneously turning your nose at players who may be available now and would be an upgrade for us. Cool.
See Hayes. Kevin. To the f***ing flyers. What’s your excuse for mb with him? You ever seen Philadelphia? It’s a shit hole. And the team is in worse shape than Habs right now. But yeah so difficult for Bergevin. LG is right. Stop excusing Bergevin.

That’s exactly right.

Even when a “star” does get traded, most times the have some version of a NMC and have a day where they go. And guess what, Montreal is not on the top of most players lists of destinations to go.
Then change that. Make Montreal a destination to go to. You are excusing a billionaire owner and millionaire manager. It’s f***ing unreal. You are such a downer.

Set up new players with high end real estate and contracting guys so they can get their dream home. Make their spouses fall in love with it, these guys will do whatever to please their family.

I swear Habs fans are the biggest BS excusers out there.
Going on year 8 and still fans cry over how tough trades are lol
Yeah I know. If you paid me 5 mill a year to manage the Montreal Canadiens you better bloody believe I would identify the big issues and work my ass off to resolve them. It’s called understanding the context that you work in. Meanwhile sterling archer seems to think that bergevin is a cashier at Canadian tire with no opportunity to think. Laugh my ass off. At you. Sterling archer.

Hayes is not even an upgrade from Danault
and paying 7.1m for a pseudo 3rd center is an absolute joke.

It’s a start. There are a million ideas. But mb seems to be helpless.

MB doesn't need an excuse for not signing Hayes, that contract is horrific.

Hayes is ten times the player danault is. He is much much bigger. As fast. And can score goals. Unlike danault. Get back to me when you start watching other teams than Habs.

Well most people seem to get a pass in North America. Unlike my 22 years in Hong Kong where my ass would be fired every day if I did not perform. Same is true in the uk. Don’t perform? You’re f***ed.

Not much sympathy for bergevin. Really.

Older, not as good of a playmaker, worse defensively, and more than twice as expensive for the next 7 years.

It's weird that you're talking about what a great GM you'd be when you're willing to give out over 7M/year to a guy who hit 20 goals once.

Ya...even when you perform well here, you wake up the next day and have to do it all over again..

Went will the fatness catch up? I’ve been hearing this for years but fatso still keeps on posting elite numbers.
It will catch up. His fatness will become enormous and eventually cover the entire ice surface with his enormous pornographic body. Otherwise I like gbr guy.

Hayes won’t be the reason the Flyers fail to compete, but dealing a 41st overall+ for BRAUN the same day...man oh man. At least we’ll only have to give away a 2nd to get rid of Alzner :sarcasm:

Maybe because I’ve seen Habs win 12 cups and know the type of players they need to do that?

You know, it's ironic that given we're in an MB thread most people say "results speak for themselves" in one form or another. MB may be 'working hard' or 'on the phones' or whatever nonsense but at end of the day the results speak for themselves.

Why not apply that approach to Kevin Hayes as well? Hayes eclipsed 20 goals once in his career. It's better than Danault for sure but yikes, this guy is a 20 goal scorer in the best of seasons and has never surpassed 50 points.

He's a pretty average player honestly. He can be big, fast, strong, smart, whatever but results speak for themselves don't they? I wouldn't even acquire him at a fair price, let alone the supposed price he's requesting. We have Byron, Shaw, Armia and others who can score 15-25 goals anyway. Why bother?

If he's worth that Gallagher is worth 10. Makes no sense.
