Got Danault in a trade from the Hawks(he was also a 2011 pick)
Got Jeff Petry from Oilers
Claimed Paul Byron off of waivers
Got Shea Weber for PK Subban from Predators
Got Joel Armia from the Jets
Got Tomas Tatar and Nick Suzuki from Vegas for Max Pacioretty
Got Jake Allen from the Blues
Got Josh Anderson from Columbus for Max Domi
Got Eric Staal from Sabres
Got Erik Gustafsson for a 7th from Flyers
Basically navigated the Canadiens through a rebuild successfully to a Cup Final appearance!
His drafting is solid as well…

And if I remember correctly the Hawks didn’t want Montreal to take him away from the organization at the time, Scotty Bowman was involved and pleaded to Montreal not to snatch him up…I believe they had Bergevin pegged for higher things…
