-We play well against Ottawa and Montreal, that's about 1/5 of the season there. (10 games) We should take atleast 5 of 10. (10 games)
-Panthers, Lightning, Islanders, Sabers, Devils, Jets and Hurricanes (maybe not this year) should be teams we can beat. If we take more then lose from these games we'll be poised to contend for a spot.
-the remaining games are against the Pens, Flyers, Rangers, Bruins and Capitals. I don't expect much from the Leafs here.

I think the schedule is reasonable for us, I think we could sneak into the playoffs with the line up we currently have.

It will be tough on the players but I really like the fact that they play every 2 days at least.

We dont always struggle vs Boston. 2010-2011 we went 4-2. Last season we stunk it up though.

Thank god I'm on my co-op term right now . Unfortunately though, I'll be working 12-8 shifts and since I work in Toronto but live in Mississauga I'll pretty much be missing every game except Saturdays cause of the commute back from work We have a relatively tough start to the season though. Minus the game against NYI and maybe the Habs (Leafs-Habs games are always close though), we face some tough teams and could be in a hole early into the season. Hopefully the Leafs can play well for the month and carry some consistency.

We really need to be better against Boston, Philadelphia, and Florida this year. Those 3 teams have been constantly giving us a hard time in recent years. Last year, we didn't win a single game against any of these teams. That's simply unacceptable.

It's sad, because last year if we had even just been able to pull off a 3-2-1 record against Boston, 1-2-1 vs Philadelphia, and 2-2-0 against Florida, we could've been in a spot. Essentially, simply splitting these 14 games would've put us in a spot.
