The majority of the Wings board seems to Mantha is worth more than a top ten pick. Some even seem to think he's worth two top 10 picks. So anyone willing to to trade this for Mantha?
Personally I think he's a good player that's overrated due to being surrounded by a lot of ugly. He's 25 battles injuries and hasn't scored 30 goals or 50 points in a season. I would trade him for a top 10 pick in a second.

Ehh. We've had this thread multiple times when it was Mantha for #8+ from Montreal, and it never ended on an agreement.

Id give the 9th overall (habs) for Mantha. Nothing more

I’d trade the AZ pick (#10 hopefully) for him, but certainly wouldn’t add the Devils pick as well.

If Edmonton had a pick in the 8-10 range I’d be ok moving it for Mantha. Would have to be a + from us with Detroit taking some salary back.

Would love to see what he could do healthy beside McDavid
Love to see Mantha up against Matt Tkatchuk in the .battle if Alberta too. Great entertainment for sure.

Canucks gave up a first (likely in the 10 to 20 range) and a third for JT Miller. Wouldn’t Mantha be about equal value to that?

I imagine he could get a top 10 pick and a couple lesser pieces but I doubt anyone would give up two top 10 picks for him.

Similar to when Staal was traded from Pittsburgh to Carolina.

As a Habs fan I could possibly trade #9 for it. I would have to wait to see who is still on the board though.

With that being said the team needs a LD much more than Mantha. If the Habs somehow acquired that top four LD before the Mantha trade then I would do it.

I would trade the 9th for Mantha. He would look good on a line with Domi and Drouin.

Drouin-Domi-Mantha
Tatar-Danault-Gallagher
Suzuki-Kotkaniemi-Armia
Lehkonen-Poeling-Byron

That is a balanced lineup.

What would the ask be from the Avs? Would have to include a roster forward going back.

You're not gonna like this answer...

... Because realistically, the Avs don't have a pick high enough to draw Mantha, and Detroit doesn't need anybody older than Mantha.

So it'd pretty much be Detroit adding something to Mantha for Byram, and that's not happening.

Whelp I'm surprised by the replies so far. I think people are infatuated with his junior numbers and the idea of a big rugged goal scorer. But I still don't think he's going to reach the potential some people see in his goal scoring or his ability to stay healthy playing to his size.

50 pt forwards don’t get top 10 picks. The player you draft in the top 10 you think their low bar is a 50 ptplayer.

Thrn factoring age and cost with high contract you look at ROI and it’s easy.

Don't see it. He's worth it IMO, but it's unlikely to find a contender with a top 10 pick. If they decide to trade Mantha it's for a top prospect+. I don't think he's going to be traded for 2 or 3 years minimum.

Mantha has 32G 40A in his last 82 games beginning Jan 6/2019.
