It's the little gestures a veteran remembers to make that add to his importance. He was the one who made sure to get Tokarski's game puck from his first win of the season. He's a team builder.

P. Marleau 591 52.40% 615 51.40% -1.00% -2%

Conclusion

Although the sample size for the Canadiens this year is too small to count, it does appear that both Carolina and Vancouver saw large net increases in winrate after Malhotra's arrival. The Sharks saw a net decrease.

Although we cannot be sure as to the reason for the increases in winrate (is it due to lower quality of competition, due to learning from Malhotra, or variance) it does seem like there is a positive trend on faceoffs when Malhotra arrives at a new team.

i'm shocked no one has yet mentioned how annoying RDS are. They cannot pronounce his name if their lives depended on it. Pierre Houde gets on my freakin nerves each time he has the puck. it makes my blood boil. It's MalH(oh)tra.. NOT mal OTTra.

The french ppl in Quebec cannot pronounce the H in Mal H(oh)tra.. Pls Pierre, stop saying MalOTTra and start practicing to say MalH(oh)Tra.. I don't care if every french canadian CAN'T pronounce the H, but you Pierre are a tv play by play man. PLS learn to say his name properly.

The English people in the rest of the country cannot pronounce French names, we don't make a big deal out of it.

How does he have ZERO points when he played in ALL OF OUR GAMES this year?

ZERO?? WTF it's almost as if our fourth line's purpose is to play "monkey in the middle" so that we can just possess the puck and prevent the opponent from doing anything, which isn't bad but ZERO POINTS? WTFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF

Bournival should be our 4th line center.

I agree

As much as I love manny, you can't have a 4th line guy that play 10-12 mins a game with ZERO points. We need some offence from that 4th line and he has zero offensive ability.

Great at face-offs and it helped us a lot in that department. He doesn't bring much else. The rest of his game stinks really.

If I hear Max Laperriere one more time...

It's possible for a media guy of either language to get names right if he bothers to do so. That goes for French and English broadcasts. Some guys don't care, and some guys are just stupendously dumb.

I remember Foster Freakin Hewitt calling the Roadrunner Corn-oh-yerr.
