He decided to stay. I would gone for Fonseca at Lille, but what can you do.

Oh, that whole situation. Did he have permission from Sporting? Did he not? Why not wait until the season is over? Then he goes from that to essentially staying. Really odd and for me it’s actually a strike against Amorim in the end.

This is the only place I've even seen that posted of the footie messageboards / messageboard threads I follow. Maybe the source/story is suspect.
Possibly. I just don't care though.

Suspending a player for a comment like that absolutely seems like a thing ETH would do and also I can totally see a player calling him that so it all lines up. Doesn't automatically make it true though.

Either way, my opinion of ETH or Antony aren't gonna change.

Bild, Kicker, & Sky are reporting that Bayern are having discussions with Tuchel to feel him out about staying

Bayern doing a Barcelona... however it kind of makes sense if they can't find anyone better. Bayern was better this year than last by about any metric, it's just that Leverkusen had a historical season. On paper they weren't better than Arsenal and still managed to get through and were 10 minutes away from luckily eliminating Real too.

He's also likely better than anything they could get (you said that above)... He also can be tossed aside pretty easily if someone better does come around.

Yeah, and the names still left at that point are doubtful an improvement (they apparently soured on a return to Flick, De Zerbi was more intriguing when Brighton was playing well, Ten Hag...lol). It will not be a season short on drama, that's for sure. I'm curious to see what they do with the roster, which has a few warts and gaps.
