Sounds like they are planning to separate the building/land ownership from the hockey franchise ownership so they can tie either in a bow and sell it separately.

This was rumoured several years ago but never happened.

City won’t let them. No way the city would approve any deals that would lead to them demolishing the stadium.

I hope not. We don't need another rookie GM former player. Luongo is also just freshly settling in to a cushy senior management job in Florida where he apparently loves it or something. Can't see it.

Heard kevin weeks name come up. At this point, anything is better than Benning but I hope the owner doesn't cheap out on the management side. How can you hand out Millions and Millions to Eriksson/Beagle/Pearson and not wanna pay for the top end management side of the organization

See, people don't get this. Luongo hasn't been back to Vancouver since 2014, aside from playing hockey games here (even missing the Sedin retirement night last year). He is never coming to Vancouver in any sort of capacity.
