Man Utd very strange start for the season, in wins and losses shots for and against

Manchester United in wins this season : shots* for 38 versus shots against 55 = -17 shot differential
Manchester United in losses this season : shots for 30 versus shots against 21 = +9 shot differential

for example, compared to every single other prem league team this season :
United is the only team that has this switched shot differential stats

Also, United's -17 shot differential in wins, is the worst
and no, United's +9 shot differential in losses is not the best

My conclusion, they still suck, its smokes and mirrors and i predict that he (ten hag)will be sacked
if not after this season, during, not much have changed, maybe only two things.
- De Gea been playing like his old self again and securing points
- their defense been slightly better
(i know the consensus is a lot better / tighter, however, that d sucked so
bad, its still not that good)

I think Ten Hag tactis are not at premier league level
what works for Ajax, does not work in the best league
- he thinks/coaches/manages the football like any other dutch manager, just
slightly better, but that's not much to say, because Dutch managers
prem league record does not impress..


Well, time will tell am i right or wrong but for me, right now
i see no other future but getting sacked in the near future for ETH

Not really gonna bother putting any thought into the rest of the drivel.

Ole had success at United when he first arrived for two reasons

1) Improving the post Mourinho atmosphere at the club

2) Using the teams pace up front to play a counter attacking style

He started to struggle when teams got wise to this and started to play a low block as United lacked the technical ability to break it down. The exception was during covid when Bruno, Pogba & Matic were all fit playing in empty stadiums. When Ole tried to transition to a modern pressing system it all fell apart and we started getting smashed every week.

EtH came in and wanted to also play that way, and we got smashed in those first two games as well. Hence the change in tactics, more pragmatic and counter attacking. No longer playing out from the back.

Having said that there is still a clear shift in the style and quality of the team after those first two games. They are working much harder and the addition of Erikson and Martinez has made a *massive* difference in our ability to pass the ball.
