Malkin high sticked Craig. To do that much damage, Malkin was either careless or made a stupid play

Who's to say it doesn't foreshadow the trade of Malkin? Adams is arguably just as important to the team.

Holy crap I haven't seen anything crazier said that this.

Tempers flared, and Malkin seemed to think nothing of it. Adams was pissed about it though. It will be a great day when Adams leaves the Pens.

They quickly made up and Adams spent time on Malkin's line last night. Nothing to read into it other than tensions getting heated, as will happen from time to time...which is unfortunate because I wish this was a legitimate reason to get rid of Adams.

That seems unlikely. Malkins jersey and equipment were coming off in the video, which would not indicate a high stick.

I remember Mitchell and Kesler got in a little scrap in practice a few years back, they made up, but our team still ended up disliking Kesler (probably due to his arrogance though).

The fight was the result of the high stick.

Malkin high sticks Craig
Craig goes after Malkin
Both exchange a few punches
Craig tussles Malkin to the ice

Maybe Adams attacked him and started fighting after a stick in the mouth.

Ah, that makes sense then. Wow, unless it was a grossly negligent play, Adams is an idiot for starting a fight over an accident...

There's a video of the aftermath here,
http://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/nhl/penguins-malkin-and-adams-fight-at-practice/

Didn't see a thread on it in the last few pages. Pretty crazy the amount of damage Malkin did to him.

Does this foreshadow a trade of Adams if they really hate each other that much?

This has happened many times among many teams over the history of the NHL.

It "foreshadows" nothing.

Much ado about nothing. No need to over-react. The Pens certainly won't.

i doubt it happens very often between a total scrub and arguably the best player in the world though.

So what?

It's not like Adams pulled a gun on Malkin. Two teammates spontaneously going at it in practice is not a big deal, but of course it's melodrama here.

Long grinding season, "living" with the same 20+ people for nearly 9 straight months...frankly, I'd be encouraged that the Pens showed intensity in a mundane practice taking place smack in the middle of a long winter slumber.

If/when Adams leaves the Pens, it won't be because of this non-incident.

A total scrub who is one of the hardest working players in the NHL, great on the pk and always looked to for veteran advice. Craig may not score goals, skate fast or protect the puck well but he's a monster in his own zone and great motivator to his team.

Dan used him in important situations for a reason. A regular scrub does not start in the opening faceoff in games or finish the final minute over guys like Crosby and Malkin

And we saw how that went. Can't believe you bring it up as something good. Bylsma's love for the grinders/scrubs was a joke.

tanner glass penalty kills as well and is an absolutely awful player. glass has also played with crosby in the past at times. just because a coach has a weird obsession with some **** player, it doesnt make that player good at hockey.
